Utah Energy Code & Advanced Building Science Training Series
Presented by Rocky Mountain Power, Questar Gas and State of Utah Governor’s Office of Energy Development

Learn about the new requirements for builders and their sub-contractors under the newly adopted 2015 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) which will take effect for new homes permitted July 1, 2016. Participants will learn what is needed to design and build new homes that meet the new energy code.

If you attend the June 14 training, you can choose to skip the morning session on June 21 since the same information will be covered although space is limited and not guaranteed. Please note in your RSVP if you plan to attend a partial day on June 21 and you will be given details later on location.

Speaker Bios

Brent Ursenbach: Salt Lake County Energy and Mechanical Code Official and Past President of Rocky Mountain Gas Association Board of Directors. Brent will provide a detailed review of 2015 IECC requirements.

For the last 20+ years Robby has worked in the building performance, applied building science and system thinking field helping Builders, Code jurisdictions, and Homeowners understand how their houses perform.

June 21 – Mark LaLiberte: A founding partner and President of Construction Instruction, Mark devotes his time educating the building industry on the benefits of constructing durable, energy efficient and healthier homes through lectures, video series and publications. By performing on-site visits of builder’s homes, he is able to identify risks and opportunities from an independent perspective.
